Good, but didn`t live up to the stage version. Dance numbers were lacking, and there wasn`t enough passion in their singing most of the time. Zeta-Jones looked downright plump standing next to the anorexic looking Zellweger. I almost wish I hadn`t seen it.

Great script! Great movie! IT is not the kind of movie you see all the time and it makes it special to watch a movie which has such a character. The producer is excellent.Richard is not an actor for this kind of movie though. I was very happily surprised !!!

I thought this movie was fantastic,,the overall feeling was great,,you`re actually routing for a murderer,,it was a wonderfull experience especially if you enjoy theatre..Mostly a girl movie though,,I think my husband would have shot me if I brought him to see it...

Chicago really was a great flick and well-deserves to be called this year`s Moulin Rouge! Aren`t we lucky? Moulin Rouge, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Chicago all within 2 years. Musicals are making a come back...

This is a great movie. They haven`t made a musical like this in so long. Use must see this movie. I loved it and you will too. This was one of the Best this year.

I thought that the movie was fantastic! Great music and an all-star cast! I am definitely going to get the soundtrack and the DVD! Anyone who says anything but good things about this movie doesn`t appreciate talent!

I enjoyed going to the movie with my baby but I didn`t really enjoy this movie. Next time I hope the movie is something I like.

I dont understand how 75% of the people who saw this movie gave it 1 star, while about 95% of the reviews are positive....I think someone rigged the vote. This movie was absolutley amazing. I have seen it twice, and I am seeing it again tomorrow.

You either absolutly love this movie or absolutly hate this movie (if you are less than 13 or if the only music you listen to is rock). It`s a brilliant movie that presents nothing but better than broadway show experience.

Brilliant. This is where film making needs to return to. A combination of real talented stars. Lots of dancing, music, costumes and sets engineered for todays generation. Zellwegger was so cute, she stole every scene. We need to have more movies like this!

INCREDIBLE!!! That was absolutely astonishing!!! They all did a marvelous job!!! I saw it twice, and the music still blows me away!!! I especially liked the " Tango "... amazing!!! I can`t wait for the DVD, it`s number one on my list!!! A must see!!!

It wasn`t perfect, but it worked! Rob Marshall was trying to be Bob Fosse. He needs to take a lesson from Dennis Potter (Pennies from Heaven/The Singing Detective) in order for the musical numbers to work (inside Roxie`s head).

Razzle Dazzle! What a great screen adaptaption of this electrifying musical production. Renee was an amazing Roxie. If you love musicals...you`ll love this one!

I Loved it....felt like I had a nite on Broadway or Vegas...rather than a movie...Music was wonderful!!!

It was simply entertaining! It was funny... Liked the costumes... Some weird things (Queen Latifa as a Mama, and Lucy Liu as a rich girl from Hawaii, sorry but those days, we East Asians were a slave of famrers!! ) I liked how C.Z-Jones were healthy looking, but I didn`t like how everybody else were too skinny to look at... Plus it was unrealistic of 20`s women`s body shape... (they weren`t skin and bones)

My boyfreind and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie (yes, even a guy can enjoy a MUSICAL!). Very talented actors/actresses, funny script, and extremely entertaining all around! One of the best movies I have seen in a LONG time. This is what going to the movies SHOULD be like ! It was well worth the $30 bux to go see. can`t wait to buy it on DVD!

i thought that it was very well done and i really enjoyed it. I especially liked the way they would chamnge from movie format to a musical on the stage.

IT SUCKED!

Incredible. I gave it 5 stars. The whole cast did an amazing job, and I was blown away by Rene Zellweger`s acting, dancing and singing! Catherine Zeta-Jones was the perfect Velma, and tho Richard Gere seemed oddly out of place, you gotta love his tapdancing! Excellent film adapted to screen, definitely best director winner

This movie has certainly got to be the best movie im gonna see this year. The critics say "catch me if you can" was a fun movie, but its obvious they havent seen "chicago." If you havent seen it, go and check it out. If this doesnt win best movie of 2003, im gonna be very angry.
