This was the best of the Capaldi era. It was full of hope positive. Dr Who has been poorly written since the last Matt Smith season. It has become a dark series which is the wrong approach for the Doctor. I wish the rest of the Capaldi era had the tone this one has. The first Doctor, William Hartnell, is my Doctor and it was fun to see him portrayed here.

Awesome For Whovians Only
The portrayal of the first doctor was phenomenal, but many of the references will be lost on those who haven't seen the show. The historical references are beautiful as well.
