Come on, it’s a nice movie with good acting. Maybe not quite Oscar material but a decent horror movie. When Elliott initially gets contacted by Rebecca in the pool, it feels like Deja Vu and you are waiting for Pennywise to show up in the storm drain… overall quite entertaining!
Reading the poor reviews, I was expecting a movie between mediocre and awful, but was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it starts with a string of jump scares, but those who simply say "just don’t go into the pool" obviously didn’t understand the movie. As we literally dive deeper into the pool, it’s becoming clearer what its powers are and what price it asks for in return. Great acting and good cinematography (a lot underwater), the score is hypnotizing at times. Glad I watched it!
Not good.
We wanted to see another movie, but got stuck in traffic going to the theater. We were late, so we chose this one. My God was this terrible. Should have went home and watch Netflix.
PRETTY HARSH.KID ACTORS WERE GREAT.MISSING DIALOGUE.
This movie is for teens who aren't old enough to see R rated movies. So lame.
Epic. Fresh. Broadening the Horror genre with a powerful story line, and subtle hand.
Had lots of fun watching, good small scoped plot that is a refreshing change from a lot of hollywood. Loved the family drama aspects
This movie is the pits. Almost as bad as Wonka.
Don't go in the water and don't go see this beyond stupid movie that left me mad at myself I paid to go see it. It's not scary - it's beyond stupid
Stupid plot. I'll still swim in a pool at night.
Not scary.
Arguably the best swimming pool movie ever made.
