My husband and I went with very little knowledge of this film. We both loved it and I consider it one of the finest films I've ever seen. The writing, directing and acting are superb. The story is compelling and unusual and so well crafted. Not a film for people who want something fast and slick. This is a thinking person's film who enjoy a story unfolding into areas that you don't expect. Is it slow, yes, but I found it compelling and didn't want it to end.
