The Prestige

The prestige was a mind tricking movie. It was worth its publicity and the actors and actresses did a great job. What more do you want from a movie with David Bowie as a guest star?!

Great plot twists!! You walk away with bunch`a things to think about... Magician story sounds a lil` lame at first but this movie puts an interesting angle for the viewers... GO WATCH IT!!

Lost me in the first half hour of the movie. I fell asleep. I don`t know if they had the sound turned down lower but so much of what they were saying seemed to be muffled. Disappointing waste of money...at least the popcorn was good!

amazing i loved it. It kept you going with twists and turns, and you were always thinking. Reminded me of the DaVinci Code where, you REALLY had to pay attention. Like a puzzle. In the end EVERYTHING made SOO much sense.

Smart movie, yes you spend some time in confusion but then it all clicks into place and you love the movie even more. Great cameo by David Bowie. Outstanding cast. Most interesting movie for a long time - finally something different.

Excellent!

The plot jumps quickly making the viewer think on the fly about what is going on. While it can be predictable, one has to be able to follow all of the rapid changes. It left me confused and bewildered, and that`s a very good thing. It was worth seeing in the theater and I`m looking forward to watching it on DVD. If you want to go to the movies and have no idea what to see, this is the movie. A potential award winner.

Amazing twists! Keeps you thinking all the way through and afterward. It was a beautiful film with great acting...definitely worth my ten bucks. And for those who thought it was confusing, that`s what so great about it.

Big let down. Nolan is losing his touch. I found the ending of the film very predictable and extremely disappointing. Acting was decent, but the plot lacked substance. It had some promise of originality, but quickly lost it. Also, film was confusing as it jumped from past to present - very annoying and confusing at times. Best part of the movie is David Bowie as Nikola Tesla. Nolan infused actual elements of history as Edison and his bullies attempt to steal Tesla`s research and ideas on electricity and electrical currents.

This movie has a unique story line but the commercial was better than the actual movie.

Excellent movie!!

Amazing movie. It was totally worth watching it at the theater (not many movies out there are). A bit confusing at times, but the concept and acting were superb and more than made up for it. Highly recommended.

The Prestige is wonderfully engrossing, darkly mysterious and entertaining from start to finish!

This is a great movie with a plot that keeps you quessing. Are they tricks, illusions or is science fiction at work. It is hard to write the review without mention some aspect of the the plots. I will stop.

Nolan should stop making movies - they are unnecessarily confusing and leave the viewer not able to follow them well (for no good reason). If you saw Memento and thought it was a great idea but poorly executed, or if you saw Batman Begins and thought it was paced like a weird music video, this film will make you feel much the same. Story got a 5/5 (incredible!) but the execution of the film gets 1/5 (what a mess!). People around us in the theatre were very confused and mad looking when it was over.

I felt angry watching this movie because it jumps around unnecessarily which makes it confusing. HOWEVER, if you get past that, you will find this movie to be amazing and brilliant. If you`re a person who always needs movies explained to them, don`t watch this - but if you`re a person who always explains movies to other people, WATCH THIS MOVIE. Probably also good if you look up the history of electricity and Nikola Tesla a little bit (if you don`t already know) before you go. It could have been made a lot more linear and less confusing but the story is brilliant.

The Prestige kept me guessing and just when I thought I had it all figured out there were more twists.. so, watch carefully

Amazing! Absolutely incredible. One of the best movies this year! I love all of Christopher Nolan`s movies, and this is no exception. Go see it!!!

Bloody Brilliant!

Very interesting movie, but surpisingly predictable at times. The only real cliff-hanger is how the end will truly happen. Without giving anything away, it`s tough to say more - but I thought that the end had multiple possibilities. I would be very interested in seeing if the DVD release would have such....

Wow I haven`t liked a movie this much since Batman Begin! Chris Nolan is a movie making genius when paired with Caine and Bale! The movie`s secret was solved for me in about 45 minutes, but it`s way of story telling made up for all of it! 5 STARS!

This film was beyond awesome... perfect in every sense possible... amazing cast, breath-taking cinematography... great plot development... captivating story, and so forth. The film keeps you in its realm the entire time, not giving any cues as to what the ending might be... what the next dvelopment in the course of time might be... twists and turns at every end. A great combination of science and magic. TWO WAY BIG THUMBS UP!!!
