The Homesman

Synopsis

In 1890s Nebraska, 31-year-old spinster Mary Bee Cuddy (Hilary Swank) teams up with a claim-jumping scalawag (Tommy Lee Jones) to transport three women driven insane by the hardships of the frontier back east to Iowa.

The unlikely pair is faced with all the challenges of the American West, including bandits, rapists and many other dangers roaming the untamed desert.
