Tenet posterAlthough Tenet slowed down at the box office during its fourth weekend in theaters, it still retained the top spot and has become the first movie to earn over $40 million at the box office since the COVID-19 lockdown. Check out who else made the list below.

Christopher Nolan's Tenet, starring John David Washington and Robert Pattinson, took in an additional $3.4 million at the weekend box office for a four-week total of $41.2 million.

The New Mutants retained second place for another weekend, earning an additional $1.1 million for a three-week total of $19.5 million at the domestic box office.

The revenge thriller Unhinged starring Russell Crowe went back up to third place in its seventh weekend, taking in another $1 million for a total domestic take of $17.2 million.

The re-issue of the 1980 film Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back resonated with today's audiences, earning $0.9 million over the weekend.

Rounding out the top five was Infidel, a political thriller starring Jim Caviezel. It took in an additional $0.7 million for a total earnings of $2.7 million in its second weekend of release.  ~Alexandra Heilbron
