Yannick Bisson receives ACTRA Award of Excellence Published By Alexandra Heilbron on Feb 26, 2017


Yannick BissonYannick Bisson, who plays Detective William Murdoch on the popular series Murdoch Mysteries, received ACTRA Toronto's 2017 Award of Excellence last night during their annual gala.

Yannick has been performing onscreen since his early teens, and for the past 10 years, has starred in Murdoch Mysteries. Now in its 10th season, the series airs Monday nights on CBC-TV.

Born in Montreal, Yannick has made his home in Toronto for over 30 years and I had the opportunity to talk to Yannick just before the ceremony -- click here to watch the full interview.

In addition to Murdoch, Yannick has starred in a number of TV series, including Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, High Tide, Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy, Brothers by Choice, Soul Food, Learning the Ropes and Undergrads. Movie credits include Casino Jack and Some Things That Stay.

He also plays the recurring role of Martin in the Hallmark Channel's Aurora Teagarden Mystery TV movies. ~Alexandra Heilbron

    I have only just found murdoch murders on sky tv and i love it .my husband and i watch 4 or 5 a night.i love the actors in it and the storylines are great.please keep making more and more from anew fan in the the u.k.
