Natalie Portman is outstanding as the writer, director and actor in this touching, historical movie. Being reminded of the events of the time, I was profoundly moved by her portrayal of a woman coping with new life conditions, a child and husband, while trying to protect them all from the horror. Her skills are clear and makes me look forward to her next choice.

Unbelievable. The storytelling is glorious. Through tough times, it shows us how to grow and learn and cherish the things we have. The performances were powerful. Natalie tells a story that goes deeper than most movies. I'm still with my mouth agape, an hour after walking out of the theatre.
