Blood Diamond

Awesome movie. It keeps you at the end of your seat. I made me laugh out loud, and it made me cry! Really eye opening to the issues in confilct diamonds.

Not bad, way to much hype.

this movie will really open up your eyes to the selfishness(to a point) in all of us. very well done! in my opinion, best picture!

An amazing movie - one of the best I have seen in the past 2 or 3 years. DiCapprio was superb! It was really hard to watch = but imagine living through the horror those people live with every day. We are so fortunate - and what do we do to give back for all the good fortune we enjoy? I know I have some learning and some giving to do.

this movie was okay. Leo was ok. i wish i had a remote control in the theatre so I can fast forward some boring scenes. the father dude looking for his son was amazing. I have always thought that he was a good actor, ever since gladiator. if you have been awakened from the training of kids and killing scenes... go see city of god

Absolutely - a great movie. Dicaprio is at his very best. I have a new found respect for his ability to act.

If I hadden seen this movie. I wouldn`t of the Africas were organizing armies killing innocent people over diamonds. It was a real eye opener on what goes on in the diamond mining business.

This movie was not very enjoyable to watch - but it`s almost necessary. Fantastic cinemetography, interesting, dynamic characters, and an important underlying message make this movie the best I have seen in a long time. It was incredibly difficult to watch, even if it is just a movie.

Fantastic movie! just saw it a couple days ago, and it is definitely the first great film of the year. Fantastic acting, great storyline, and thrilling throughout the entire feature. Lets you see the truth of what is really happening in these parts of the world. Highly recommended.

riveting, best movie in a very long time

It was a touching and important movie, but not without its flaws. I hated that Jennifer Connolly`s role was so small (sorry, I`m a bit of a feminist) and I found it slow-going at times. DiCaprio`s acting was a distraction, largely because I saw The Departed and his facial expressions looked so damned familiar that I found it hard to concentrate -- or care -- about what he was saying. There are more things I`d like to say involving the ending but I can`t because it would ruin it for you. Basically, the ending involving DiCaprio seemed forced and unnecessary. That`s it! No more details. I will never watch this movie again, even if someone paid

I thought it was excellent, the characters, the plot - the story was all so moving! Its like your taken on a ride to another place and it isn`t until the movie is over that you realize wheer you are. Its been a while sinse I`ve seen such an awesome movie! Everyone that enjoy`s action, adventure - a large story with excellent actors should see this movie!

A great movie. Makes you wonder where most of the diamonds you see at a jewelery store really come from?

There are jewelers’ out their that agree with this moral message; and don`t promote the selling of blood diamonds. All diamonds can be laser traceable to their mines, and they will only buy diamonds that are not affiliated with the blood diamond trade. So don`t feel bad for buying diamonds watch were you buy them from.

This was a heart-breaking movie, it really makes you think about how lucky our society is as a whole and how much we take for granted. Given all the dissention that still occurs in Africa, this movie could be a very useful tool in obtaining assistance for them. The movie was very well done, and worthwhile. I would strongly recommend it.

realistic, bloody, no more diamonds from now on. 5 star movie

I found it very moving. Africa seems to be a forgotten country. All you hear about is Iran and Iraq but Africans suffer just as much. It was very thought provoking. I give it 5 stars.

This movie really does get you thinking about our society.. a must see movie for all!!

well done, but a bit long

My wife and I have been to Liberia,it was a very real and frightening movie and in many ways confirmed what we had been told about the war in Liberia and the use of children hopped up on drugs to do the dispicable deeds the cowardly and murdeous adults had a hard time doing themselves.We have seen first hand how the minds of children have been permanently scarred by what they did and saw!

This movie was riveting! Definitely one of the best films I have seen in a very long time, possibly one of the best ever. Brilliant performances by the cast. This movie will stay with you after leaving the theatre and give you a different perspective on diamonds. Oscar worthy for sure!

If your interested in war movies, over coming almost unbeatable obstacles, and true hero`s.i would watch this movie,i`m planning on buying the video. It gives you so much truth and understanding of africa.And how lucky we are to live were we do.the three actors togather put on an amazing performance.I havent been so moved emotionaly from a movie in a long time. this is by far a 5 star movie go see it!

This movie was amazing. Great performances and Leonardo DiCaprio did an outstanding job as well as others. The movie is not just entertaining, it has messages and makes you think about what is happening in third world countries. I was blown away. Defintely Oscar worthy. 5/5

Best Line of the movie.. an elderly man from a slaughtered village... "can you imagine if Africa had oil? then we would be in real trouble." Wow I have been to Africa... this movie depicts Africa with honesty. It is earthy,lush, dirty, cruel and beautiful. Thank you to the producers and script writers for having the guts not to gloss over Africa... and the guts to show Africa`s beauty in raw form.

A must see! Should stimulate good and critical conversations for us all.

Blood diamond was really interesting, beautifully filmed. I loved the acting and it was informative on the serious issues that are going on in third world countries. I saw it twice in two days.
