A very good movie !

This is pornographic violence and blind dangerous faith couched in Christian piety...basically the other side of the coin of radical Islam, or any other radical insurgency for that matter. Good Christian folk, and empathic people everywhere, I implore you, by your actions, don't fall for this Neo liberal/ Communistic/ Totalitarian/ Fascistic melting pot of propaganda, or you too will be blindly following the path to your own destruction!

It's a true story, and one of the best movies I have ever seen in my 50+ years of going to movies!

Mel Gibson is a controversial figure, but he is a master story teller. This movie well illustrates the duality of human nature. Our species can be peaceful, loving, and merciful. We also glorify war, because of its brutality, sadism, and death. To summarize, "Hacksaw Ridge" is definitely worth seeing.

Great movie on an amazingly humble man. A little more liberty with the script than needed as I have the documentary and book on Desmond Doss. Highly recommend the movie and the documentary, "Conscientious Objector."

Very realistic.. good story line...a very brave man....

Slow at first so to give you a background. But went from 0mph to 120mph, adrenaline pumping. It's not for the faint hearted, but that is the reality of war. If you want fast action, this would be it. I wished that I knew what ever happened to the other characters. It's an inspirational movie, that God will guide you if you believe in Him.

Best Gibson movie yet. William Wallace was good, but Daws will make you cry.....

Best movie I've seen in a long time

Really good. I just hope it doesn't win many awards at the Oscars though. It's good, but not that good, and I'm afraid that they will do that since this is the classic Oscar bait choice.

What an amazing movie - one of the best I have ever seen. Shows the capacity of humans to love, and also their capacity to hate. Every adult should see this movie. Definitely too violent for anyone under about 16 years old. What an amazing story and an amazing part of the worlds history. Such an amazing movie

Love of God & Country needs to be told all the time especially to the newer generation coming up. Oscar worthy movie that is a true story.

Great movie. Perhaps the reason the Japanese didn't cut the ropes is because they wanted the enemy to come to them so they could get their licks in after having the ships bombard them from offshore. The ropes also could have been secured on the cliffside as well smart guy.

it is one hell of a movie and so precious to have the interviews with the actual heroes/ soldiers.

An incredible true story that needed to be told. The movie draws you into all of the experiences this young soldier endures during a fire fight. In addition it shows the strength that comes forth when faced with incredible adverserial situations.

Missed the mark on many levels...the Japanese couldn't have cut the cargo net going up the wall face? It's too bad when you see a movie that looks great from the trailers.

This is an amazing movie, difficult to watch at time due to the subject matter. Nevertheless is a story that needs to be known. One of the best movies I have ever seen.

I rarely , if ever write reviews but this movie needs to be seen. Our society today uses the term "hero" far too casually. You want to see what a true hero is? Then go see this movie. War scenes are graphic and real but that is war. Mel Gibson does not sugar coat the reality of war. However this is a story of conviction, beliefs and heroism at it's highest level and the majority of the movie is not blood and guts. Mel Gibson hits an massive home run with this movie. A must see.

Outstanding war movie...Mel Gibson did a great job with this true story. Enjoyed the interviews at the end of the movie with the veterans that the movie was written about.
