Dark, twisted and entirely grown up, it's a wonder the new HP film is labeled "family". Although admittedly a much heavier film then any seen preivously in the series, it's a welcom change in tone and still makes room for a few laughs. This well made part 1 in the series finale makes the wait for part 2 (coming out summer 2011) that much more unbearable.

It was really an amazing movie, the best of all Harry Potters, it is long but keeps you interested all the way through, so much emotion and excitement, I would go see it again!
The longest prologue in film history, HP7, Pt. 1 sets the stage brilliantly - forcing our trio of heroes to face their greatest fears - Harry that more poeple will die for him; Ron his feelings of inferioriyu, and Hermione that, no matter well prepared she is, she can never be ready for everything. The film builds steadily and then concludes on possibly the best dramatic moment possible - preparing its audience for the high energy ride that Part 2 will undoubtedly be.

Brilliant, epic, full of entertaining action and intensity. Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint all have fantastic chemistry as this is a must-see for all fans, by far the best of them all!

An awesome first installment. I am a bit let down on some of the scenes they didn't decide to add in, but considering that there's only so much material they can film, I'm happy with what they have. The pace is pretty good and it certainly leads up to great cliff-hanger. It'll definitely be exciting to see part 2. The only downside - we have to wait until July? for the conclusion! :(
