The Hateful Eight

If people want to see gore and cruelty, look no farther than your TV and the internet to see what the terrorists are up to. For that matter, your local news will have all kinds of stabbings and murders. Do we really need it as entertainment too? What kind of people go to this bullshit?

I Love Tarantino movies, no other Writer/Director has the guts to to make movies that don't have to check your brain at the door. Multiple plots and great story telling makes this one room Movie good.

I love westerns so I really wish I could say something good about this one but the truth is I would not recommend it. The movie suffers from too many long periods of needless dialog that ads nothing to the story line or plot. These periods are long and boring. The violence when it finally happens is overdone and I find myself tired of brains, blood and guts all over the walls and floors. This kind of violence has been done so often and carried to such extremes that it has lost its intended impact. Find a copy of the Wild Bunch and see how it should be done. Language is fairly mild compared to movies like sisters. This movie made me fight to stay awake. I would give it a better rating if it were half as long.

Loved this movie - saw it in 70 mm (wish more movies were shown in this format - highly recommended) and it had many of the typical hallmarks you can expect of a Tarantino film with a unique concept of a story line and I love how it came together at the end.

A well acted and interesting western. The build up to the cabin is great and the action is sudden and gory. A very well thought out movie that is worth going to see if you can stand the blood flowing.

Terrible movie. Not worth seeing. Very slow plot. Gory violence, crude, vulgar dialog. Don't bother. Save your money.

Good, but not great. Tarantino films are better than most, and this is, but it it one of his lesser efforts. He needs a good editor to curb his indulgences. Some scenes are too long, some distract and some need more. The usia for e for gore's sake is wearing a bit thin. A film with seeing but not really memorable , especially compared with his best.

Big disappointment after the brilliance of Basterds and Django. Shows all Tarantino's worst excesses and indulgences - WAY too long (could have been kept to 2 hours easily) with long boring talky stretches punctuated by violent gore. Admittedly not a big fan of the spaghetti western genre anyway. If you want incredible action, see this on DVD and go see The Revenant instead.

Funny and hilarious

Not as good as Django and Basterds, but still well worth seeing.

Another Tarantino Masterpiece!

The PERFECT Tarantino movie, a credit to western movie making, and Samuel L Jackson back at his best and funniest. People complaining about N word or violence: the movie was made for TARANTINO and WESTERN fans, not general public who's happy with star wars. If you don't know who ennio morricone is, if you haven't seen tarantino's previous movies with most of these great actors, you cannot appreciate it.

This film was original, beautiful, and unpredictable. The actors acted the hell out of it. A must see.

Tarantino movies are all about sharp dialogue, and this delivers in every way. Maybe a little too long, but Tarantino fans will not be disappointed.

I liked it. It had a good ending. My criticism of the movie is that it was too long. I think the story could have been just as good if the movie was two, two and a half hours long.

I was quite disappointed while watching this movie. It was a big puzzle that very slowly comes together. Boring and developed a headache towards the end. Most of the movie takes place in the haberdashery. Way too long of a movie. Can't understand for the life of me why Quentin felt he had to put the scene about the naked cowboy licking his johnston. Unnecessary, it seemed to me that it was used as filler. Seriously. Why bother.

This movie was good had some good action but it was slow as hell Quentin dropped the ball a little bit on this one

Way to much gorry,violence the word N***er,was used excessively, story would have been just as effective without.

I don't fit the love it or hate it assessment of others. It's very good, but as a Tarentino fan, I was hoping for very great........83/100

Not a great film, on any level. Script, acting, storyline... all weak. A huge disappointment if you are a Tarantino fan. One might infer that he didn't feel like making much effort this time around.

Was expecting a little more. Although the acting was generally good this movie is essentially a dialogue carried on between the various characters. Apart from the stagecoach scenes ,could hardly call it a western.I thought some of the profanity was excessive and didn't necessarily contribute to the story.

I believe this movie is best one on this season I really love it and will be repeat watch

Loved kill Bill, Django, this movie doesn’t even come close to the great story line of either of these two movies. Quentin has lost his way on this one. Great acting by all, Bad very slow moving story line, unnecessary foul mouth Vulgar at times. I walked out after two long painful hours of this crap movie.

One of the worst movies I've ever seen - completely horrid violence and so slow I could of slept thru most of it ......waste of time and money

Didn't enjoy this... save your money and wait, and GO SEE THE REVENANT instead trust me! just seen a pre-release of the revenant and it was very good!

I give one star since there was one section of the movie toward the end that I actually wanted to see what was going to happen, aside from that not much had me intrigued.

If it's Quentin and after seeing the trailer ...it's Terrific
