Amazing, I loved it. When I went in I didn't know what to expect but I ended up enjoying everything from myth & comic-story smash-up to the quirky jokes that just fit where they were perfectly made.

why is this rated so highly by others? nice escapism-check. Hot guy, partial naked. Check. Awesome plot with great character development and pacing...not so much. It's a fun movie, but i'm surprised at the over the top ratings that it simply does not deserve.

Don't watch it in 3D it ruined the experience, but overall best Marvel Movie other than Iron Man 1 and 2. Captain America will be a flop though...just saying.

Ok, you really need an open mind. Remembering this is all based in comics, but funny enough on TV they are talking a lot lately about aliens giving humans our folklore and our first taste of technology, and this movie at the beginning states that! Makes it a tad bit based in current reality theory. Branagh does a great job directing such an epic movie. Couldn't have picked a better Thor or Odin, or really anyone. Those who know the Marvel movies, you gotta stick around for the credits, worth it for the surprise at the end as usual. What I didn't like is that if the machine shoots them to a specific location on alternate worlds then why does Thor land in New Mexico of all places? Wouldn't th

Thor was really great and is up there with Iron Man 1&2 on the list of great marvel movies and I can't wait for The Avengers movie coming out in 2012

I really liked this superhero movie. It wasn't filled with the usual cheesy one liners.

Awesome movie! Chris Hemsworth makes a worthy Thor! And no one could pull off playing Oden like Anthony Hopkins! Great to see the myth's of my heritage come to life on the big screen...this was far better then any day dreams I had as a kid. I look forward to the upcoming sequel...and you know there WILL be one!

I went to see Thor the day it came out. The line up wasn't too bad!! The story line was awesome!! The guy who played Thor was super HOT!! I would see it again!!

Fantastic! I agree with a reviewer that said: better than X-Men Origins: Wolverine, or Spider-Man 3 etc. I was very Impressed with the father who taught his son Peace instead of war/violence/gambling and fornication, which is often the case in movies now adays(a LONG time coming). The actors/actresses excelled in their acting! Loved the Special effects too!! HOPE their's a Sequel. I won't give you a spoiler but there is other ways that Thor will see her again. A Big Thank You to Marvel, the Directors and Paramont Pictures!

I love a good comic book movie and this is the best one since CATWOMAN.

Great movie and Natalie Portman are so sexy

It was good. Much better then X-Men Origins: Wolverine, or Spider-Man 3 or Ghost Rider. Special effects were pretty cool. And Chris Hemsworth is beautiful, so that's a plus for a fan girl such as myself. I find the only thing is really missed was a BIG climax. It built up pretty well but I found it was missing something I can't quite place. None the less, go see this film!

I gave it 5 stars, because 4.5 wasn't an option. Visually impressive. Stayed pretty true to comics and was very entertaining for those who weren't familiar. Marvel is 4 for 4 in my books.

Thank you so very much!!!!! I was lucky enough to win 2 tickets to a Special Advance 3D Screening of Thor, on Wednesday, May 4. All I can say is, try not to miss it, this is a must see film and is best seen on the large screen in a Cinema to be fully appreciated. The 3D viewing of the film is fantastic. Lots of great fun, action galore!!!!!!!! The special effects are incredible and the same goes for the CGI. Make sure you stay though the credits at the end as there are surprises!

I didn't want to watch this at first cuz I thought it was about war in Roman times and what not...sort of gladiator like. But I LOVED this movie. Definitely worth my $13.

I noticed Chris Hemsworth in Star Trek where he played George Kirk, James Kirk's father - the role was short but if I noticed him, others must have. Where has this absolutely sweet, delicious person been ?!?!? The bluest eyes and long blond lashes - just takes your breath away ... Did I mention that he stands 6'5" and has been working out? Oh yes... go see the movie, it is wonderful !
