I would have given this movie a 4 1/2* if I could. The director and cast are to be congratulated on their jobs. I look forward to the next installment!

Good back story for someone like me who never read the comics. Explains a lot of things from previous X-Men movies. Very enjoyable.

Alot better than I thought it was going to be. You don't have to see the first Xmen movie to understand this one. Really enjoyed it!

What a clever way to weave the cuban missile crisis and JFK into XFC...its a great reboot for the mutants.

Love the actors, love getting the story from the beginning and love the real story that takes place. Even if you are not a X-Men fan, this is a must see movie.

Of all the X-Men movies this was actually my second favourite, which surprised me. I think the director and cast did a bang-up job, and I cannot wait for the next installment.

Xcellent movie

Above average summer fare - this movie is a little more intelligent than most of its comic book competition this summer. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender put in typically solid performances.

X-Men: First Class is an excellent prequel to the X-Men series and seriously rejunates the franchise, something much needed after X-Men: Last Stand. The chemistry between James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender is phenomenal. This movie is a must-see!

Good movie whether you're a hardcore comic-book reader or a casual fan. The cast was well chosen and played their parts great. The blend of action, story, and historical context made for a very cool origin story. Can't wait for the next X-men film.

great reboot for the mutants

One of very best comic book superhero movies out there. Xmen Origins and X3 have been redeemed by this excellent movie that has re-instituted "class" into the Xmen franchise. Its fitting that this movie is called first class because it truly is!
