I am a teenage collegiate athlete who has suffered through grief and this movie is the real deal. It captures exactly how it feels for others to be trying to break through and you just want to disappear into the past. It captures the 'survivors guilt' perfectly. People who rated this movie low just don't get it. This movie is way deeper than any Disney sports movie!

I'm an ultra runner grieving the loss of a child. This movie is painfully relatable and real, including how clueless people around you are to the agony in your soul. The principal chewing him out while his brain tunes out...totally grief brain. This movie was therapeutic for me.

what i liked about the movie 1 mile to you was the acting and the story

Sooooo much better than the book it's based on. This movie has a lot of heart and Kevin has a lot of conflicting emotions. In the book, he barely seems to know what happened to his team.

So good, I've watched it 3 times on Netflix. Graham Rogers is incredible as Kevin, I felt his pain while watching the movie (choked up at times) and Billy Crudup was also fantastic. Tim Roth did a great job, even though his role was fairly small, he's one of my favourite actors.

Great movie! I wasn't sure I wanted to watch it, because I thought it would be too sad but it was amazing!
