Great movie with good suspense and good overall story. Tom Hanks was brilliant in his role as Captain Phillips. Barkhad Abdi was great in his first acting role. He took the role of Muse to a whole new level. Good ensemble acting.

Classic! Tom Hanks is utterly believable as the ship's captain. A real tribute to the real Captain Philips. The camera keeps moving and as difficult as it is, you get the real sensory experience of Captatin Philips' claustrophobic days in the rescue vessle.

This movie surpassed my expectations. After watching the preview I thought it was just another "American Hero" movie. However, it was really well done with a great cast. I especially liked how it showed multiple perspectives of the situation and the different circumstances that the characters faced. I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire movie in anticipation of what would happen next.

The best movie so far of 2013. Tom Hanks give an outstanding performance. With a celebrity so big it is sometimes hard to see past that on screen, but in this movie Tom Hanks convinces us that he really is Captain Phillips. The story mixed real events with thrilling action, you could feel the tension and energy throughout the theatre. The pirates in the film as well were excellent, and gave a different perspective. I highly recommend this movie.

THE BEST FILM I SAW

Tom Hanks amazing talents were up and down in this movie. The ups when he met the Somali pirates for the first time convinced me he was truly frighten by the "skinny rat character. Well done Tom!

Even though I knew the ending of the movie, I was still on the edge of the chair throughout. The acting was excellent and the pirates were so real, they really could have been picked off the beach of Somali.

Plenty of action, based on a true event, Tom Hanks gives a wonderful performance as the captain. Very interesting and absorbing movie.

This is an excellent movie based on a true story. I think that Tom Hanks deserves an Oscar for this. My favorite part about his acting was near the end of the movie. He really captured how a person would react to almost being killed. Also I don't remember hearing any swearing which I total appreciate! Highly recommend this movie!
