CARRIE was so exciting and thrilling to view this movie for the very first time ! I really enjoyed it and will try to get the DVD of the movie, so I can show it off to all my friends !

A thrill ride, one of my best horror movies of the year, a must see and must have on blue ray.

This movie was not nearly as good as the original; personally I was waiting the whole movie just to see the hand crash through the hallow ground, only to be disappointed. The actress who plays Carrie is awful and the whole movie is way too overly sexual, compared to the classic. I would not recommend seeing this movie in theatres but if you're a horror fan and liked the original, you might want to pick up a cheap copy when its out on DVD.

The original was the best. It is not as good once you seen the original. I say leave well enough alone

Carrie is remake but really stands up to the original. The good looking cast combined with the great acting by julianne moore make for an appealing movie. The special effects were done very believable. I enjoyed this movie and found myself not wanting it to end so fast.

I prefer the firt one.

That a remake of Carrie should turn out to be a pathetic retread of the same emotions, step-by-step, executed with far less skill and visceral punch is probably to be expected

Quite a few disturbing scenes. Since I did not watch the original version I cannot make any comparison. But in general, it was an OK movie.

This was an interesting modern version of the Stephen King classic. Julianne Moore was amazing. I was expecting more from this film though. Good, but not great.

Any remake of a horror classic -- and make no mistake about it, Brian De Palma's "Carrie" is a classic -- is going to come under a lot of scrutiny and will be automatically dismissed by some due to being unnecessary. Such is the case with the remake of "Carrie", which updates the setting but is more or less a scene-for-scene retread of the original. Both films are considered adaptations of Stephen King's novel, and while this film had the opportunity to be more faithful to the source material, that wasn't the direction taken.
