PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER, dont be surprised if Hollywood copy cat the story of this movie. I think it's the fact that it's not your actual mother (in general) and the average human being is supposed to look at their mother as a positive warming subject. Plus, I think people look at horror needing to be gory and bloody. We as a society forget where horror films originate from in the early 20's. It's the feeling of disturbance and suspense. There all different genres between horror and slasher films.
