The soundtrack was abhorrent, which is a real problem for a musical.

With all the hype, I expected it to be as good as Les Mis. Not. Even. Close. It was just okay, which is why I'm giving it a generous 3 stars.

Took me a long time to warm up to this. Hated the first 20 minutes or so. Not a fan of rap music. Had to get used to the Founding Fathers being different colors, it was jarring. No likable protagonist. Didn't like any of the characters. Women were just there in order to be an extension of a man, they didn't have personalities of their own. And finally, not historically accurate at all.
