Awesome movie!!!!! I am usually disappointed by horror films as they are cheesy and not scary. I can honestly say I was scared. Very well done, good story line and great scares. A must see!!!!

Best Horror film I've ever seen. Anyone who says otherwise is too chicken to admit they were scared. They even managed to fit some honest humor into the story line.

It Was Awesome and had some stuff the reminded you of other horror movies from the past and the music was good except it got on my nerves with the violins and the credits at the start were well done.

Typical Christian mythology horror. We actually left before the end of the movie. This is sort of a weak mish-mash of older horror movies that were good: Poltergeist, Exorcist, Amityville Horror. The story starts very slow and the characters are not well developed. (Spoiler) When the family changes houses because they think their old one is haunted, nobody in my group caught on to that for a bit. Near the end, the demon, who was in sort of a demonic projection room, suddenly appears with a boom and OMG!..there's a close-up of a cloven hoof to let you know that there's a bygollygee demon there! It was amazing. How many psychological horrors have I went through, disappointed, finally a horror flick that actually did its job and horrified me. The ending made me want more.

Compared to other horror movies this one nailed it. Starts of with the feeling of it being real like paranormal activity so you can relate to the family then takes it to the next level. Very unpredictable and very scary. My 20 year old cousin who is a horror movie buff actually for the first time screamed full out in some scenes!

Seriously?!?! Who thought that this was a good movie? It was not even scary and the story dragged on way too much. I gave it 2 stars because of the first hour of the movie but after that it was all the way down.

Im 43 years old and the movie was the BEST I have ever seen...The critics who says not to see this film should be shot...An excellent movie ! Absolutely unbelievable movie !!! Great job !

this was one of the better horror movies i have seen in a long time. actually makes you jump sometimes and its not complete fiction like many who see it may think. many people have the ability to do what the characters in the movie do. great movie. recommend it to anyone who likes horrors.

Insidious starts off as a scary, stylish horror movie. Long scenes of silence make it enjoyably uncomfortable in the theater. It gets lost somewhere in the second act however, making it harder to believe and therefore losing some of the scares. Overall, a good horror movie with a shaky last half.

Extremely creepy movie (and this coming from a horror movie buff). Not predictable at all, different premise than most modern movies. Acting's decent, even from the younger cast. Must see in the theatres - highly recommended.

It was okay, I would rather call this a thriller than horror film; there are some comedic breaks in the movie and it was alright but might be a renter.

This horror flick had some really creepy scenes, a few unexpected twists, and definitely some 'jump-out-of-your-seat' moments! Highly enjoyed it!

There were somethings that normal people would have done in this movie, but were not done, therefore it just made them look ridiculously stupid. Didn't seem as if they had a lot of funding toward this movie. It could have been better.

Not your everyday horror flick. I really liked this movie, it was very original. Not what you'd expect. Can't wait for it to come out on video,so I can buy it! Does anybody even say that anymore? Lol

Very good film, although parts of it were a bit cheesy. If they had showed less of the "visitors", I would have found it better/creepier.

Was scary until the blonde lady showed up....then it became funny.

Holy Cr@p this movie was scary. I never get scared in a movie, well not since The Ring, and this Movie was SCARY. It was nice to not have One Boring Ghost to worry about but many multiple ones that kept you on the edge.Someone actually went running from the theatre cause it was so scary ..No Joke LoL
