Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

True fans will appreciate the story.

There is no W in Laurence Fishburne's name. Other then that I agree the movie had no realism or connection to Star Wars. It is however worthy of more then 1 star.

For sure Lawrence Fishburn wasn't in the Rogue1 I saw. God I wish he was because the acting was terrible, but then so was the lack of a credible story line. Waste of time and money.

First off. Whoever is stupid that said Lawrence fishbourne wad in this movie. If you want to complain about a movie..get the actor right lol. Second..it was good..and the ending blended well into a new hope! More action tho needed.

Took in the flick 2 weeks ago. Wish I'd saved my money. It will be out on DVD at WalMart most likely in February.

I took my son and granddaughter to see Rogue1. My 10 year old granddaughter thought it was ok, my son and I realized after 15 minutes this movie is a loser. What a waste of money.

Went over the holidays with my nephews and son and we all really enjoyed it. I am a bit leary after the brutal plots with Star Wars 1-3 but this movie and the previous lives up to the original star wars trilogy.

Nobody who watched Rogue 1 could possibly give this movie more then 2 stars. It had no redeeming qualities. Other then Lawrence Fishburn who's acting is good who are these other people???

Do yourself a favour, stay home and watch your hair grow, it will be more exciting.

This is a must see for a Star Wars fan. A great prequel to Episode IV!

I found it hard to follow at the beginning, jumping from one situation to another and not knowing the new characters. But as the movie progressed I really enjoyed the story and the great action throughout. I look forward to future movies.

excellent movie...should be seen on a giant screen..for many reasons

I really enjoyed this film and I'm not even a huge Star Wars fan. It was very well done and leaves me wanting to see more Star Wars spinoff films.

This was a really great movie that bridges the trilogy's. This was such a cool battle and to see everyone come together for a fight. The new characters are super lovable and you will be on the edge of your seats!

Fantastic addition to the saga. A shocking ending for a Disney film. Exciting from start to finish. The cast was fabulous, the story terrific, and the effects were as amazing as you'd expect from this series. This was a fun movie to watch with characters to cheer for and against. This film flew by in no time, loved it!

I would have been happy to see a glimmer of "interesting" during any part of this waste of time and money.

I saw the first Star Wars when it came out in New york City.That film blew my mind.So did this new version of Rogue One.It is a must see continuation of the series.I know Disney is going to milk this franchise.Lets hope thye stories continue to be great.I did finfd that this version was similar to the first one except for the different tropical scenes.May the force be with you George Lucas-the original brains behind Star Wars.

Loved the story line and the visuals! Loved the movie so much, I watched it twice - one on 4DX! Got a whole different movie experience. Definitely building the momentum for all Star Wars movies!

Although I haven't kept up on the Star Wars movies, I was thoroughly entertained by the action some of the actors as well. I think most of the characters were believable in their roles, but I am sad that Carrie Fisher's last movie. I can't wait for the next one that's all I can say about this great movie.

Pretty sloppy effort, a lot of puffery. Very forgettable, thankfully.

Good plot. The conflict between the Empire and the Rebels. Just like the older days when Star Wars came out in 1977.

A lot of people are having conflicting views. But honestly it's a nice prequel, it has a lot of memorable star wars characters and moments, it's an interesting plot and you can emotionally attached to the characters. Simply enough its a great movie in my eyes.

I always wanted to know how they build the Death Start and how the princess got the plans. Who was the designer. The movie brought back good memories from the first movie. Nostalgic good memories when I discovery a galaxy far far away.

Darth Vader was against the evil good vilian. The space battled was epic.

Without Skywalker, Solo, etc, this movie has no resemblance to Star Wars. Seemed like 2+ hours of boredom in the dark.

The best thing to happen to Star Wars since the lightsaber. This movie proves out that Star Wars stories without a Skywalker in the center work very well. A well rounded cast with a dark plot line makes this the film to see this holiday season.

Overall the movie was okay-ish, it had the expected aesthetic of the Star Wars universe. But I wasn't able to connect to the characters - the most interesting actor was the droid (irony alert!). The story was formulaic and rather dull. But what bothered me the most was the complete absence of female characters. Aside from Jyn, there are no female rebels, First Order fighters, Deathstar personnel, .. it's like the XX chromosome combo has been totally expunged. Seriously odd, and rather annoying to this dyed-in-the-wool Star Wars fan.

Agreed, even Schwarzenegger would have improved this flick and that's sad.

Doubtful there will ever be a Rogue2. Luckily they had no real actors so their costs should be very small.

An Incredible Movie. If you are an avid Star Wars fan this was fantastic with a compelling story about one of the great mystery's of how the Death Star was created. The beginning is an important tale of how things came to be, and the ending will surely not disappoint with incredible duels, and action filled moments. All the actors were exceptional. Don't miss this great movie.

Boring!!! waste of money...

This is not a terrible movie, it certainly isn't a great movie. It's a movie you go see after the holidays because you're bored stiff.

Went with a couple of friends, left after 1 hour...nuff said.

Honestly I was bored,I took my 2 nephews age 9 and 11 and they really did not enjoy either I could tell .They did not say so cause I take them out a lot and they didn,t was to rain on this...LOL

I agree with the previous user. I can tell from the type of writing is the same person trying to get lower rate to the movie. Chill out. The movie was good. The soundtrack was excellent. The recreation of the three dead actors were amazing. The one who is complaining is not saying anything that proof why she/he does not like the movie. No clue what is about. Just bashing with nonsense. You can keep bashing the movie for who knows politics reasons but the movie will remind in our hearts. You can't take that away. Only Star Wars fans know why we like the movie. Get a job please. Lol

To avid star wars lovers, this is an instant master piece. To those complaining about lack of plot, doesn't make it a bad movie, there are many MANY lengthy books with tons of cannon and non cannon stories, so please remember that this is a SHORT 1 off. Along time ago but not to distant past, disney DITCHED THE OPENING CRAWL, making at least 10 people look like idiots as they went to hum along with an iconic tune. The acting is right, but dull on the main leads. It has a weird vibe, as your more interested in the side characters over the main, which is really nothing new to star wars, we as star wars lovers have always wanted to see more on other races, other parts of the universe of star wars. The action, plentiful and great. Aome might not like it Becuase "theres too much action", maybe compared to a new hope, but thats the essence of star wars. We all have been that kid, or awkward teenager, who has wanted to be lightsaber duel, or a blaster fight. This movie helps feed that kiddish hunger. And last action scene is 10/10. In all, i am one with the force, the force is with me.
