I thought this movie was simply AMAZING. The visual effects were stellar, as well the cast, storyline, etc. An action packed full-throttle thriller which is the Years most Effetive Film! 5 Stars

Great Prequel TR

Plenty of fast paced action from director JJ Abrams makes this a very entertaining revival of a well established series, set at a period just prior to NC1701's launch. This makes subsequent episodes possible.

Wow! Great new Trek movie with the perfect amount of old Trek homage. A truly great film.

I COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT IT, I DON'T EXPECT ACCURACY OR TOTAL ACCURACY IN A SCIENCE (FICTION) STORY!!!! I WILL ALWAY BE THANKFUL TO JJ FOR MAKE THIS PERFECT ORGINAL STARTREK MOVIE. I FELL IN LOVE WITH THES CHARACTER AND BECAME A FANATICAL FAN OF THEM. ALL THE ACTOR WERE EXCELLENT & DID AN EXCELLENT & PERFECT JOB. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE EVER WRITTEN ANYTHING AND SENT. Has nothing to do with Star Trek, despite having the same title and character names. Save your money and go see "Up"

Great movie - well written, well acted. I've seen it three times now and it's been just as engaging each time. The music is fantastic too.

Great movie and kuddos to whoever did the casting; the resemblance to the original TV characters was amazing. The movie was so good I had to wait until it was over to go to the washroom.

Great action and acting. Storyline was not so great. Several holes in the plot.

This was the best Star Trek ever. The storyline was incredibly creative, leaving it open to go "Boldy where no one has gone before...." with a brand new generation of fans. Fantastic job!!!!!!

Not a fan of star trek.. but loved the movie

this movie is totally overrated by trekkie fans, but the voices of trekkie fans do not speak for all audiences that watched this movie. I give this a 3.5/5!

By far the best Star Trek film ever. The characters are so true to their original characters in the tv series. Exceptional fx and overall a wonderful plot. Can't say enough about the young Spock. Fantastic casting and delivery.

very fast paced, the first 10 mins grabs you and doesn't let go, not sure if other person saw this film, will easily break 350mil

The villian was ok, the strength in the film however is in kirk and spock and how they resolve their differences and work together to save earth/galaxy. Special effects was pretty good and the music was awesome, too much flares though, other than that it's a great film, will need to see it again. 4/5

Star Trek is cool, nice work JJ. My favourite part was when Spock was calling Kirk out for cheating, I wish that scene was longer. 10/10

will easily make 400 million by the time the summer is over, seeing it again and will get the blu ray, puts xmen/terminator to shame.

movie to beat in 2009

The show was a little slower than I thought it would be. The action and special effects were not of the calibre of Transformers. I was a little disappointed when I left. I would not pay to see it again but I will rent it when it is released.

Best Star Trek movie I have seen to date. Interesting, well developed characters and original plot line. Good casting. Worth seeing even if you are not an avid "Treky"
