this movie was more suprising and funnier than expected. i love the casting as well as the monsters including the unicorn and merman.

better than i expected. a dark comedy about the horror genre. see it before someone spoils it for you.

a really bad movie

it's not the typical horror kinda of movie. i was actually more disappointed than anything. was expected it to be one of the best horror spooky kind of movie but instead it was more comedic than scary... it's a different type of horror movie, but i wasn't really impressed, felt it was overrated.

too scary!

i'm assuming most people who didn't like the movie went into it expecting an entirely different horror movie. cabin itself wasn't meant to be an outright scare fest but more of a critique and homage to the horror genre. for me it was a comedy first and foremost, if you're a fan of horror at all you'll immediately recognize all the tropes the film pokes fun at. i love where the winding plot takes you to at the end.

good amount of killing.

this was more of a comedy, it was so bad!!!

twists and turns at every corner. simply a great way to spend an evening getting thrills, chills and surprises. that's about all i can say without ruining it.

for people who are giving this movie 1 star are too young or too old to be seeing this movie. the meta-content of this movie focuses on horror movies from the 80s and 90s, rather than the crap that's out these days. it's a unique horror-comedy that provides some good laughs and terror moments. the final minute is a bit of a let-down, but the rest of the movie is amazing. 4.5 stars, only because the sound system wasn't loud enough to made the shock-terror moments truly scary.

i can't believe everyone didn't give this movie 5 stars. it is imaginative and in a league of it's own. i was riveted to the screen the entire time wondering what was to come next. i feel sorry for those that didn't get it. lochnesshampster

this is joss whedon in his element. amazing dialogue, fun and quirky characters and strange enough to entice someone like me who doesn't like horror films much to watch it. a big thumbs up.

great movie! unexpected, gory, funny, and a pretty interesting story line

this is a fun, smart horror flick. well crafted and paced. for those that say it's dumb, it's not the film that's dumb, it went right over their heads. stop checking your messages and pay attention, you actually have to think a bit for this one!
