Thought this movie was awesome!!!!!! For those that said there was no action/special effects...what the hell were you watching?!?!?!

This kind of trash shouldnt be allowed on the big screen anyone who liked it has a severe mental dissability

I actually quite... Loved this movie. I can understand, though, why some people disliked it. The idea of not showing the monster a lot, and such, and such, quite entertained me. The really creepy and eerie things about it are what I really liked, though. Such as the eerie way it's been centred around terrorism, and it's post-9/11 setting. The way it had no soundtrack was also interesting, too. Except for the whole party mix. Which had MUCC's song 'Fuzz', which I loved. More love for J-Rock from American movies, whooo~. Also the whole ending credits thing. That's what gave me the chills. How the movie ended in a puzzling way, making you wonder things. Then the total silence through out the fi

Wake up people. When the method of telling a story becomes the story, the red flashing lights should go off. There will be no plot, no character developement, no message, no story!!!If you think so, then they should be handing out Academy awards on U Tube in the near future, say a 100 years or so. NOT.The best way to hide everthing that was lacking including the poor TGI. is to use a shaky camera. By the way for the novice film people, it was not really shot on a camcorder.Brillant way to "shake" a few dollars out of everyones pocket. Stick around for #2.Bring the Air Sickness pills this time and have another real good time. LOL.

Good movie overall if you can stand the motion sickness. It would probably have been a great movie and reached a greater audience if not for the constant wild shaking of the camera. I hope they make Cloverfield 2 from the military perspective, with an actual camera with built in stabilizers and clean crisp imagery none of that terrible nauseating camera work.

In response to the morons who feel the movie is original...Well...You people don't watch alot of movies do you? This movie was a rip off of at least two other movies and it has no originality whatsoever...The storyline was terrible as was the CGI...Save yourself the time and money and DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE.

It's terrible!!! Use the money for something more useful. Something better could have been done with the story. And lets not talk about the end of the movie, honestly I wanted my money back when I saw the way the movie ended. The way it was filmed with one camera, to make realistic was a terrible decision, it's annoying, and doesn't let you understand what's happening. Terrible movie!!!

Scary, real and original, great film, if your looking for something different this movie has great special effects that look realistic without over doing it, its not going to win any awards, but this is the type of movie that was meant to be seen on the big screen, check it out - The Methos

If you are at all sensitive to motion sickness, DO NOT watch this movie! I was able to watch the Blair Witch project no problem, but I actually had to leave Cloverfield half an hour in, and spent my evening over a toilet. My bf was closing his eyes within the first 5 min because it was making him dizzy. The movie seemed decent, but it was really hard to concentrate on due to shakey camera.

I really thought I wouldn't like this movie, but after a few minutes I was absolutely swept up for the ride. I felt like I was there and wasn't being spoon fed a bunch of pseudo science babble. Really different, really good.

this movie was overall a huge disappointment. just because of the way it was filmed ruined it. the whole aspect of trying to make it realistic clearly did not work, it was pretty annoying. however, the movie had a good story line to it which needed for development. i personally think if this movie was was not filmed as a documentary type of film, it would have been a wicked movie. otherwise it was a complete waste of time leaving many unanswered questions.

This is the worst film ever, the movie is pointless, does not tell the audience what happen. the ending is rediculous, how can anyone see the tape if no one ever finds it. and through out the movie it feels like i am watching a movie being tape....

As Simon Cowl from American idol would say..."Absolulty horrible, if I wanted to see crap I would have waited for it to come out on video". Nice effects tho.

Ok I know there has been mixed reviews about this movie but I among it seems half of you liked this movie. Now my rants the ending and the shaking camera here is my quest for you. Run into a natural disaster with a hand held camera ohh and at the end die. Now explain to me how they are supposed to wrap up this movie any better and explain more when they are DEAD as for the shaking he was running sometimes full out for periods of time a steady hand doesn't seem like the most likely of scenarios. Maybe some of you would have the time to pop down your tripod to steady the camera and get the angles right. I will admit the special effects were not the greatest but once again it was supposed to be

Awesome, I believe this is the best film this winter..

This was the first movie I have actually walked out on. What a waste of my time.

Intriguing film, higly entertaining and for those who didn't like the ending well that's to bad because no one realistically speaking survives something like this!!no one...

one long long trailer....amazing beginning, had me at the edge a the seat excited and hyped up eyes glued to the screen waiting waiting...and then....NOTHING happened lol...what a waste of an awesome idea all "build up" no plot as if i just saw an amazing 1hour and a half long trailer but didnt get to see the movie thats what its going to make you feel like if you see this. have fun watching.

This is a horrible movie. The camera work made me sick and gave me a headache, and the ending was so stupid. The whole movie was about saving a girl not even about a monster, so pointless.

Better then Rambo and it has to be the best modern Sci fie flick... Ya it didn't have a story but at least it was very entertaining and it felt real if people can't see that well then that's them!

an effective combination of Blair Witch meets Godzill / Alien. The style is like watching the 911 TV footage shot like some imbedded camera crew in Iraq. Too bad that some of you did not "get" what this movie was inteded to show. It shows a terrifying situation shot from the perspective of a regular person, who does not have the overall picture, does not know where to run, does not know what is happening. So, I thought it was great and would encourage anyone with the ability to be challenged by a movie - GO SEE IT!!

The best film out right now with action,and realism.. This film does not count on plot,however it counts on realism and we don't get realistic films now a days instead we get horrible ones like Rambo!!!

Wow i watched this and i was blown away and this film last week was number one and now it's in the top 5 film..That's say a lot while Rambo in the other hand got crappy review and got second on it's opening.. Now that is saying a lot about two films! watch Cloverfield and don't watch Rambo it's "HORRIBLE"

I don't know why people are writing negative things about this movie. It's one of the best monster movies I've ever seen.
