TERRIBLE. BORING. TYPICAL HOLLYWOOD GARBAGE.
One of the best of the year!
A waist of money, talent and special effects. If you re hoping Harry will dazel you with his wit, magic powers, charm or anything else for that matter, DON T BOTHER. The talents of his supporting cast are much more impressive than his, whereas he s more lucky than skillfull. The movie is too long for the events in it. It seems that the sequence of events has been stretched to fill the 2 and 1/2 hrs. Last but not least, the title... The Philosophers stone? and the stone they seek is better described as the Alchemist stone.. heck even call it what it is, the Elixir.. but it has nothing to do with philosophy.. That is for sure. I think the Harry Potter movie is great but it s not really follow the book at all. I know that it s running out off time and also the budget but 2 hours and half who care! They should make about 3 hours. I don t mind if i have to sit more one hour at the thearter just make it has more sences or follow the book. Titanic plays about 3 hours, people still go and watch it and why doesn t harry have 3 hours too. I think Titanic is much more boring than Harry Potter, all about the love and romance but this movie (Harry Potter) is about imagination advanture and love among friendship. I thought that this movie was one of the best movies I had ever seen. It was a true to the book as I expected it to be...I loved it. The acting was awesome and the effects were amazing.

Overall, the movie was very well done. Of course, there were parts that had to be deleted or shifte, but the effect of the book was not lost. If you have not read the book, you will probably enjoy the movie. If you have read that book, you may be a bit disappointed that not everything is in the movie. See it on a Tuesday if you aren t too sure!

it was a good movie, i like the books better though! they cut out alot of parts from the book, but if they added everything in it would ve been 5 hours long! so over all it was a REALLy good movie
Harry Potter was fantastic. It was too bad they cut out some of the jokes, such as Lee Jordan s highly amusing commentary at the Quidditch game, and all of Fred and George s pranks. Also, there wasn t nearly enough Quidditch games, and Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw should have been mentioned more. But all in all, it was well done, staying fairly close to the story, with absolutely amazing graphics. It s definetely worth seeing.
It s the very good movie of the year. If u like to read HarryPotter books, u must see the movie.
