Star Wars: The Force Awakens

I'm so sorry to say that this movie only rates 2 stars in my opinion, The story line is just not up to the hype and expectations we all had. The actors do the best they can with a very weak story line. The effects are good, but that's about it.

The movie was awesome even if you are not a star wars fan. JJ should have made the movie a bit longer, 2hr and 40 minute would have been my ideal time ;) It sure isn't the best movie of all time, but its not like this is the last star wars, there will be plenty more to come, so we shouldn't rate bad just because the story looks similar to the original movie, think of it like a TV show, more will be made. I am a hardcore movie fan, I love the movie but they could have made a few things way better. If Ledger can perform great as the joker, other actors should do the same for movies like these. Worth seeing the movie of course :)

A good production and a return to the former Stars Wars glory. There are some issues with the story, such as the very dry relationship between Han and Leia (though it is somewhat explained during the movie), the C3PO's red arm (seriously in that age and technological advancement it is hard to believe they couldn't find a replacement of the same colour). Script is quite good, action scenes are well done, lighting proves impressive and cinematography is solid. All in all, this new installment will not disappoint.

Poor acting, weak plot, not worth the money

Very much the same as the original Episode 4... Not enough NEW ideas to make it interesting.

I loved it. The feel and look was different yet similar and the CGI was wicked. Way better flight battle scenes with crisper CGI. It's hard to explain, but there were a couple issues which I wish I could explain why I didn't like a certain part or it shouldn't have been in the movie but not spoil anything. It definitely leaves you wanting to watch more of it and to watch it again and again.

Star Wars, Star snores. Boring movie. Wait until DVD. Save your $.

Same kinda fun as the 1st (Star Wars: A New Hope)

Literally nothing new or original, this is nothing more than re-branding of the same plot points in the original trilogy, only Luke is a girl this time around.

Flawless! A perfect 10!! Extremely happy that it stayed true to the original 3 episodes... May see it again and again...

a remake of the first star wars movie. where were the jedi, where was yoda? The force was still asleep here, boring.

Fun movie with familiar and new faces. Loved the energy of the audience!

Widely anticipated and worth the wait. Serious, action-packed, funny. Has it all. Don't want to give anything away to those who've not seen it yet but now can't wait until the next Sar Wars comes out.

The best action movie in years!

I thought JJ did an awesome job on the movie. The story was very much like the original star wars but I don't care, a good story is a good story. Visually the movie was great. The new aspects of the story were interesting. All the actors did a great job. I can't wait for another one to come out.

Awesome. If you grew up loving Star Wars. There's no way you won't be enthralled and giddy all over again.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was well acted, well filmed, and I loved the new hero's as much as I enjoyed the heartwarming return of our old favourites. Naturally, the movie left us hanging with many questions which will of course be answered in future episodes - assuming this will be a trilogy? The Force Awakens had so many memorable moments - scenes full of action, drama, humour, warmth, and one scene in particular which I certainly did NOT see coming. I look forward to watching this movie again, and enjoying it even more. It's been a long time since I've been to a movie where the audience has broken out into applause at the end. The Force Awakens met expectations and definitely left us wanting for more. Can't wait for the next one!

wow fun i like it

Boring and non-original. The villain acts a hysterical starlet, the new death star general just went through puberty. Both cry at least once. One star is for Han Solo - he still rocks. The movie doesn't make any sense and is not entertaining at all. I will boycott the rest.

Boring!! Nothing new. Just like watching episode 4. Added a new annoying character.

Pretty good with a very diverse cast. The performances overall was excellent and Harrison Ford is definitely the heart of the movie.

LOVED IT...felt like a kid again...cheered when I saw familiar faces and throwbacks to the original movies. Loved the story lines with both new and old characters. JJ Abrams did awesome directing this. The 3D was great for a first viewing of this movie and I will likely go see it again...and again...and again...when does the next one come out?!?!?

The mystery feels like it's back - much like a new hope. It makes you wonder what will happen to characters, and where the end leaves you, as well. I enjoyed it, because it has you guessing, and it takes big bold moves that seems like would only be read in a fan's fantasy script. That's mostly what I liked about it - is that it takes it in a direction that's daring. Non-sappy-happy.

Attack of the Clones is my favourite Star Wars but this comes pretty close.

Amazing follow up to the Star Wars story. Great work from all the cast especially Daisy Ridley. I think she has a long career ahead of her. It could use a lot less of the Finn character, and another actor could have played that part with some emotion. Was great to see Han and Princess Lei back. Good 3 D effects, but the movie would be good in any format

I never truly believed Darth Vader was Luke's father. An enthusiastic 4/5 for The Force Awakens!

Carrie Fisher can still rock a gold bikini!!! Can't wait to see it again!
