OMG, UR TRASHING THIS MOVIE FROM A SPOOF OF A EPISODE U SAW OF THE SIMPSONS, WHERE THAT WAS ALSO COPIED, U GOTTA BE AN IDIOT, IM SORRY FOR BEING TRUTHFUL! This was the most steriotypical "horror" movie of all time. It had EVERYTHING from al of the other crappy horror movies that came out this year or the last. From the freaky little children (usualy a girl), to the whole bathtub attack, to the priest, and a lot of other "obvious suspence", it had it all. Completely unoriginal, boring and VERy predictable.

Amityville Horror...hence the name `horror` was not scary at all, the 1979 version made my gut sink. But this is just sick. At the first of the movie it says based on a true story. But its not!! Just a bunch of cheap scares.

It was more like "The Shining with Freddie Krueger", than anything even remotely like the Amityville Horror Story. What a waste of cash.

I am 32 years old and was scared out of my wits when the first Amityville came out as a kid. I went into this remake thinking it would likely be cheesy but it got good reviews so I went. I was pleasantly surprised. Good story line followed throughout and good acting. I was entertained and spooked and it was worth $10 for sure. Go see it - u won`t be disappointed. And the time "3:15" will forever be in your memory bank....

whoa great job on the acting for ryan reynolds didn`t knoe he can be a serious actor i was really surpised. and this movie is so damn scary that it made my gurl jump and screamed so loud. i think this is the best performance in ryan reynolds in his career and i must suggest you to watch it. it is a MUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don`t know whether the oringinal followed the true story closer, but the remake wasn`t that good at all. The effects were good and some scenes were scary, but it just lacked the suspence to keep you into the film. The real address of the house was 112 Ocean Ave and in the movie it was 412 Ocean Ave. The house didn`t look anything like the real house, but the original movie was a closer match. Final note: If you`ve seen the original movie, you probably won`t like the remake.

this is probably the most goriest and bloodiest movie ive seen in a while, and thats what makes this movie so awesome. this movie was suspensful had alot of pop ups and was very creepy, excellent movie for friends. very good, it cost me 10 dollars but i would have paid 13 dollars , just cuz it was that DAMN GOOD!!!!!!

WOW!!! the scariest movie I have ever seen in my life!!! I give it 6 STAR****** not one boring moment. Good story line, amazing acting and nothing is fake..Me and my boyfriend were sweating during the movie and my boyfriend never sweats. A must see for everyone!!!ENJOY!

This is an awesome scary movie. Ryan Reynolds is so damn hot! It is a must see, you will not refret it!

Not as good as the original. Not a bad stand alone movie, for today. But once again we are treated to the "spooky CGI girl". The original book and movie portrayed a decaying pig like creature that was insinuated to be an ancient demon of some sort, a la Exorccist. This movie is kind of like a blend of the some facets Original story with a slice of Hell House (walled up nutcase) and Poltergeist(crazy colonial holymen), but sadly no demonic pigs. Instead the Demon is transformed into a the "spooky CGI girl". Another couple of quick critiques: Georges pants are WAY too baggy for the time period of the fil, I mean if were going to be all retro in

why would people bother remaking classic horror movies...they were classic the first time because it WAS the first time. This version was weak. I mean WEAK like House on Haunted Hill weak. Hey but i"m sure the same people that thought the movie Saw was great thought this movie was too! Pathetic! (p.s. thank god i had passes and didn`t have to pay for this sh#*!)

Great movie! One of the best horror movies I`ve seen in a while. Make sure you go to this one with a girl (if you`re a guy), and vice versa. Great couple flick!

The story line of this movie has been taken and re-modified so often it isn`t funny. But with this one..and modern technology, it makes it much more malevolent, and above all, absolutely terrifying. Out of the five people I went with, I find that I was the only one who jumped the most often. I hope this is the final remake. Because the story is far to interesting and wetting my pants isn`t an option I`d like to take a second time.
