*****star movie! What an unbeleivebale movie, simply the most irresistable film this year and will always be an unforgetteable movie, at least in my perspective.

Awesome movie. I really liked it because it keeps you guessing what is going to happen next and before you know it is right their in front of you, and you jump out from your seat. And you never know what will happen to the mother and the children until the end of the movie. I thought the original movie was boring. This one is realy great because it has my favorite man it in Ryan Reynolds. He is sooooooooooooooooo hot and I reallly think he is the right man to play the main roll in this film.!!!!!

Awesome movie. Definately has you on the seat waiting for what happens next (i didn`t see the original). Ending lacked a little bit, but overall it was definately entertaining :)

Just leave the theather if not the house!

This was a really good movie. It`s not exactly scary but I think it is one of the top rated ones in the Horror Genre. I have seen so much pathetic horror movies the past few months and finally I can see some good quality horror.

Amityville Horror is the best horror movie that has come out in YEARS. If you have been watching horror movies for as long as I have ( at 5 years old my 1st movie was Nightmare on Elm St. I`m 21 now), you would know a good horror ovie when u see when..ufortunately many of u dont. A real horror doesnt HAVE to have hundreds of gory scenes to make it scary, it`s all about the chills/terror/suspense factors and HOW they are delivered that make horror movie what they`re SUPPOSED to be. Dont let all these recent movies like the original RING and WRONG TURN desensitize you. Go to your local video store and dare to rent an old 80`s horror flick, I DA

This movie is the reason why we should put real estate folks right up there with lawyers and car salepersons. Buyer beware, and do your homework first before you buy. If its to good a price to be true, it probable isn`t, or it comes with attachments; like a murder house that wants to add you to its collection. Get out now while you can and don`t look back...bfg

This is a good horror movie. The fact that it is based on a true story is very freaky. The acting was well done and Ryan Reynolds did an awesome job. Very sexy man AND he`s Canadian! Go see this movie if you would like to watch a real horror flick, it is worth it.

Besides the torture parts it wasnt scary or make you jump movie

It was just okay. It wasn`t scary at all. I got startled in what, one scene and that`s it. I suggest waiting until it comes out on DVD. I give it three stars.

This movie, i would have to say, was worth watching. Just the idea that it is based on a true story was enough to startle my scare. The acting was well done and i have to give credit for that. Ryan Renolds played a very disruptive yet interesting part, which made me look deeper into the movie and see beyond his perfomance. Well done and worth the time to see!!

This movie is a Good Solid Four Stars....Never seen the first one before, actually never heard bout this Real murder that took place until this movie came out... I loved the acting, and the fightning scenes...not as much scary scenes as most horror films, but i think thats good because the fact that the horror scenes were UNEXPECTED where most films u know whats going to happen before it happens. this movie u dont know. Again, Awesome Acting, way cool effects.... 4 stars all the way.

What an awesome movie. The Amityville Horror is a must-see movie and it`s so much better than the original from 1979. Great acting and lots of scares and chills to keep you on the edge of your seat. I can`t wait for the DVD.

Thought it was a great movie! Had great actors and It kept us on the edge of our seats.:) Had some funny parts as well.

It was better than most horror movies that have come out in years. It was fun. Kinda gross. The person that mentioned Asian movies as scarier is possibly right but this is an exception. I liked it better than the Grudge, the ending was better. It is worth seeing if a fright film is ya thing! The acting is great. A solid movie, well worth it.

It was okay. Have seen way scarier movies. Ryan Reynolds shows his true acting ablities. He plays an amazing crazy/scary character and just seeing him a few times with no shirt on in the movie was enough to keep me entertained for awhile.

This movie was worth going to see. I thought it was great. I would not say it was the best Horror movie out there, but it deserves credit for its creepy factor. It is not overly gory, which may be why some people did not enjoy it,but it was scary.It has a good story line, and wraps up the plot without the "sequel coming next summer" type of end. I liked it and if you like a good scare I would say go see for yourself.

A very dull film, the original is still the better film.

I honestly dont know what everyone is saying. This was honestly a horrible movie. The acting was the only thing that kept me from giving this movie 1 star. This movie was not scary at all, it obviously had a few jumpy scenes but that was it, but honestly it was horrible. Honestly I have realized that alot of horror movies created in North America are honestly nothing compared to the ones they make over in Asia. This was another dissapointing horror movie, and hopefully there will be some more horror movie remakes from Asia coming out soon. 2 Stars Maximum.

I thought Amityville was the scariest movie I have seen in along time compared to the other bad ones that have come out last year and this year....Anyone who thought this movie was bad really doesnt know a good horror movie when they see it....Ryan Reynolds did an awesome job on this movie considering he`s a comedy kind of guy So it was different...But I give this 5 stars all the way and its definately a movie you all should see...worth the $$ 10.00...This is one movie thats getting added to collection.
